8th Grade Boys v Eastern Comets

On Wednesday night, the 8th grade boys basketball team played in their final home game of their middle school career. The visiting team was the Eastern Comets. The Huskies got off to a good start with some pressure defense creating turnovers resulting in easy baskets. After the first period, the Dawgs had a 14 - 9 lead over Eastern. The Huskies got hot from the three point line in the second quarter. They hit four three pointers in the period contributing to a 20 - 8 run and a 34 - 17 halftime lead. The Dawgs finished the game by holding the Comets to zero points in the entire second half. The Huskies outscored Eastern 19 - 0 in the half resulting in a dominating 53 - 17 win. All 14 players contributed to the defensive effort. Offensively, the Huskies made nine three point field goals in the game. Hamilton Heights was led offensively by Nolan Kakasuleff and Vince Kakasuleff. Jace Hilton played his best game of the season knocking down multiple shots. It was an impressive effort by the team in their final home game. They will be back in action on Monday, January 26th at Noblesville West middle school.
