The 6th grade boys turned in one of their best performances of the season last night as they beat a very good Tipton team 34-24 in their regular season finale. Mitch Morehouse, Westin Wilson, Colby Day & Chase Grisell all turned in stellar defensive performances en route to holding the rival Blue Devils more than 20 points below their season scoring average. Jackson Fiddler was all over the court making hustle plays and getting the Huskies timely extra possessions to help build the lead. Offensively the Huskies were as efficient as they have been all year. They moved the ball, got great looks and rarely turned it over. Chase Grisell controlled the game while Austin Tebbe, Westin Wilson & Mitch Morehouse all took advantage of great passing and spacing from their teammates to lead the Huskies in scoring. The most exciting plays of the night, took place in the B game as Ansen Boocher and Coy Schultz made their season debuts. Schultz knocked down a jumper in the 2nd quarter off a great pass from Bentley Pierce and Boocher buried a 3 in overtime just before time expired off a great assist from Abe Woodruff. Big time congrats to those 2 for their electric performances and a special thank you to them for all their help as managers this year. The Huskies are back in action this Saturday at 9am vs Carmel in the annual Husky Invite.
